Review (Eng): Hardcore Superstar - Split your Lip

Hardcore Superstar

"Split your Lip"
Release: 26th November 2010
Label: Nuclear Blast/Riot! Entertainment

Do the guys get old?
Definitely not.
Entering the "Split your lip" (Release: 26th of November 2010) album just emphasizes again that this band is simply born to rock!

Starting with a kind of glamorous song, singing about those evil dominant leader girls that just kick away asses, called "Sadistic girls".

First impression of the song might make people think that the rockers got a bit softer. But don't let you blend by the midtempo rhythm. The beginning of the song is perfectly formed like the beginning of big stage show with a drum roll. Just the sound of an exploding pyrotechnics is missing to introduce a real energetic opening.

The 2nd title "Guestlists" of the album starts with a short monolog in Finnish.

CD-Review: Matthau Mikojan - Plastic Trays (Eng)

Sound of Finland

As a pre-taste of the upcoming album, most likely released in the early spring 2011, the first single "Plastic Trays" was sold online by the 8th of November 2010.
More or less the publication was announced quite surprisingly a week before the exact date via Facebook and Matthau Mikojan's webpage.
A bit too little effort of promotion could be the conclusion. So more or less the band, which currently consists of Matthau, Simo and Janne (aka Jimmy Sindel), has to rely on word of mouth and the support of their fans to keep the selling going.
